Suspected Impairment - Confirm the Student with Disability
Suspected Impairment: After completing the early screening, where questions are answered for each domain, the system will automatically identify the suspected impairment of the student under the respective domain. Students with suspected disabilities will need to be referred for further medical evaluation. Once the medical assessment is completed and the student is confirmed to have a disability, the following process must be followed to update the student's basic information. This includes uploading the medical assessment report as part of the confirmation process.
Step 1: Access Disability DMS
To begin the process, log in to the Disability DMS portal and click on the Suspected Impairment option.
Step 2: Select Criteria
Select the EMIS Code or School, the Year, and the Class for which you want to process the suspected impairments.
Step 3: Load Data
Click the "Load" button to display the list of students along with their disability domains and screening statuses.
Step 4: Confirmation
From the displayed list, click on the "Action" button and select "Confirmation" from the dropdown menu. Complete the form that appears by selecting the disability type as prescribed by the doctor and click "Save."
